This Thursday we have a massive night of wrestling going down at Homestead high school! Kicking things off we will have a rematch of the 2025 D1 Team State semis with Arrowhead taking on Bayport. Following that dual we will have Minnesota vs Little Rock. This will all be LIVE on Flowrestling for Flowrestling Night In America! Between the 2 colleges competing there are a total of 33 WIAA State titles!! Lets take a deep dive into each native’s bio:
Little Rock
#6 Matty Bianchi: Two Rivers High School / Redshirt Senior
A 2021 graduate of Two Rivers high school, Matty was a 4x WIAA state champ and earned All American honors 3x while in high school. In the 2023-2024 season he qualified for the NCAA tournament after finishing 4th at the Pac 12’s. Last year he was a NCAA All American finishing in 7th place at 157lbs. In addition to that he was a Pac 12 champ and finished with a 27-6 record and was a NWCA Scholar All American.
Minnesota
Blaine Brenner: Stanley-Boyd High School / Redshirt Senior
3x WIAA state champ while competing for Stanley-Boyd high school. In his first season for the Gophers he defeated #20 ranked Price by major decision. As a redshirt freshman he won the most falls award. In 2023-2024 he qualified for the NCAA tournament as the 26th seed. Last season he competed at 174lbs and tied for 5th place at the Southeast Open with a 3-1 record.
Silas Daily: Plymouth High School / Redshirt Freshman
While at Plymouth high school Silas won a WIAA state title and finished with a 151-11 record. Last year for the Gophers he took 3rd at the Daktronics Open and defeated #30 in the country at the Southeast Open.
Wyatt Duchateau: Arrowhead High School / Redshirt Freshman
A 3x WIAA state champ for the Warhawks. This past season he recorded his first win for the Gophers at the Bison Open and finished in 2nd.
Jager Eisch: Kaukauna High School / Redshirt Senior
While in high school Jager was a 2x state champ for Kaukauna. As a freshman he had a ranked win over #20 Liam Cronin. Last year at 149lbs he placed 4th at the Southeast Open going 4-2, winning 3 of his matches by bonus points. He also won the Bison Open going 2-0.
#13 Koy Hopke: Amery High School / Redshirt Freshman
Koy was a 4x WIAA state champ for Amery. He was a U17 World Champ and a Fargo Champ. In his Gopher debut he won the Southeast Open taking out 3 ranked wrestlers. At the National Duals he went 2-1 beating #10 and #25 in the country.
Dawson Johnson: Cumberland High School / Redshirt Freshman
A 4x WIAA state champ and a NHSCA National Champion before joining the Gophers. This season he has placed 2nd at the Bison Open and went 4-2 at the Southeast Open with two tech falls.
Rhett Koening: Prairie Du Chien High School / Redshirt Sophomore
A 4x WIAA state champ at 4 different weight classes while competing for Prairie Du Chien. Made his college debut at the Jim Koch open going 2-1. This season he has placed at the Southeast Open and won the Bison Open at 149lbs.
#18 Charlie Millard: Homestead High School / Redshirt Freshman
A Homestead high school graduate, Charlie will make his return to his home gym! While competing for the Highlanders, Charlie was a 2x WIAA state champ, U20 Freestyle World Team Trials runner up, and a Fargo All American. As a freshman for the Gophers he recorded several nationally ranked wins over #8, #14, and #19. Most recently he was 4-1 at the nationally duals, co-champ at the Bison Open, and won the Southeast Open going 5-0 with 3 bonus point victories. Charlie is currently ranked #18 at 157lbs according to Flowrestling.
#21 Ethan Riddle: Germantown High School / Redshirt Sophomore
A 2x state champ for Germantown high school and the #8 P4P wrestler in the state according to our P4P rankings at the time. Riddle made his college debut going 3-1 at the Bison Open last year. Last year he was undefeated at the Daktronics Open and was a NWCA Scholar All American. This season he has finished runner up at the Southeast Open defeating 2 nationally ranked wrestlers. He was co-champ at the Bison Open with teammate and fellow Wisconsin native Clayton Whiting. He was 2-2 at National Duals defeating #23 Desiante of Virginia two times.
Clayton Whiting: Oconto Falls High School / Redshirt Junior
Another 4x WIAA state champ for the Gophers! Clayton, a transfer from Missouri, is now a redshirt junior for the Gophers. As a redshirt sophomore he was a NCAA tournament qualifier receiving the 28 seed going 1-2 with a ranked win over 12 seed Takats of Buckell. This season he is the co-champ at the Bison Open with teammate Riddle.
