The Badgers kept things rolling this weekend with 2 strong performances on the road with wins over Army and Hofstra.Saturday they took on the Army beating them 24-12. Nicolar Rivera, Joe Zargo, Wyatt Ingham, and Braxton Amos all recorded bonus point victories. At 165lbs, Cody Goebel secured a 6-4 win after a 3rd period comeback over #21 Gunner Filipowicz to win 6-4. Wyatt Ingham also recorded a ranked win over #20 Wolfgang Frable. University of Wisconsin–Green Bay is exploring adding Division I wrestling.
AD Josh Moon says the school is actively evaluating it, citing a strong recruiting base, donor potential, and regional fit.
Nothing finalized yet — but this is real momentum for a new program.
